Having closed our Camden shop (where we resided for seven years!) we would like you to come help us celebrate with a glass of Champagne and fairy cakes, two years at our opulent boutique in London’s iconic Old Spitalfields Market, from 6 until 10pm on Thursday 25th September.
Feel free to dress up in corsets, but we do understand that many of you will be coming from work so there is no dresscode
The shop is five minutes from Liverpool Street Station (take the Bishopsgate exit, walk up Bishopsgate towards Shoreditch and take a right into Spital Square, then carry on walking straight on until you reach Lamb Street.

See you soon! xx
September 2011 update: *** WE ARE NOW AT 72 COMMERCIAL STREET, SPITALFIELDS, LONDON E1 7LT ***
As FairyGothMother’s in-house designed collection continues to expand, we decided on a new name to allow the glamourous style of our new collection of corsetry, lingerie and gowns to reach a wider audience. Please welcome Lulu and Lush!
This weekend summer appears to have returned to the UK, but believe it or not, it is less than 13 weeks to that time of year. Yes, Christmas!
We get very busy between now and Christmas every year, and we always get those late orders in a rush!
So, to encourage you to place your orders early this year, we have a special offer for you all. Order before the 1st October and get 10% of all you order (excluding Sale and Weekly Special Offer items).
Here are some new pics of the glamorous Fleur de Guerre by photographer HarjTT, who will be shooting our new collection next week:
First up, the fabulous overbust corset in black taffeta with cream ribbon trims by Miss Katie available in black or burgundy taffeta, shown here with our best-selling frilly knickers.
This shoot featured two of our most popular basic overbust corset styles, the first of which is pictured in Event Blue brocade and is available in a wide range of plain satins, dupion silks, taffetas, brocades and leather. The second is our own-brand basic overbust corset, currently available in black or ivory satin, or daisy, jade and burgundy silk brocades, pictured here with a bustle for a classic Burlesque outfit.
Also pictured here is a Sally Jones negligee and knickers set which is currently unavailable to purchase online, please email us for stock levels as we still have a few sets remaining in our shop.
We’re shooting the new collection on Monday, so check back here next week for more lovely photos as well as next month for the second part of our new collection, photographed as usual by the lovely Morgana

Ever marvelled at the beautiful corsets we have in our shop and on our website, and wished that you could work at FairyGothMother? Well, now’s your chance!
We are looking for a few part-time shop assistants who love corsets and lingerie, and who would like to join the FairyGothMother team.
Ideally you will be able to travel to Spitalfields (5 min from Liverpool Street Station) easily, work weekends (although we are recruiting for weekdays too), and are fun and friendly as well as honest and hard-working. A good sense of humour and willingness to help is essential, retail experience would be helpful but if you’re enthusiastic and a quick learner, we can work around that
If you are interested, please send your CV and a paragraph about yourself and why you would like to work for us (feel free to attach a photo, if you have one!) to email@example.com.
We look forward to hearing from you soon
We’ve long been a fan of Damaris, the luxury London Lingerie label, so we couldn’t resist adding two sets to this season’s new collections. Firstly, we have Cherry Bomb, a rich red silk bra and boy short with fabulous Fuchsia eyelash lace. We also have the Polka Petrus Bra and bow back thong, adorned with bright red polka dots.
We got a sneak preview of the Spring/Summer 09 Mimi Holliday collection at the Paris shows yesterday, and you can expect to see a larger collection in our Old Spitalfields boutique and in our online shop next season!
The very lovely Cheyenne was featured in the London Paper wearing our fgm-500 classic underbust corset. I’m sure you’ll agree she looks fabulous!
Here are a few pictures (including a sneak preview of our new purple taffeta underbust!) from the press party we hosted yesterday afternoon. Alongside Kiss Me Deadly and Playful Promises, we held a tea party at the palatial 33 Portland Place, which is one of the most wonderfully elegant houses in London. Built in 1775 and bedecked with chandeliers and period features, it is well known as an exclusive party venue for celebrities and the glitterati. As such, we thought it would be the perfect venue to showcase the new additions to our Lulu and Lush label.
We invited members of the press to be spoiled with mouthwatering iced fairy cakes provided by The Great Cake Escape and delicious teas and coffee served in exquisite china by the charming girls from Betty Blythe, be entertained by Two to Tease’s tantalising burlesque performance, browse through our new collection and have fun customising their own corsets and lingerie with crystals and trims.
Everyone enjoyed themselves so much we thought it wouldn’t be fair for our lovely customers to have to miss out on all the fun, we are having the shop refurbished over the next few months, as soon as the builders have gone (dont worry we will stil be opend) we’ll release dates for a very special ’50s-themed tea party just for our customers.
Thank you HarjTT and Lordeana for taking such lovely pictures for us
