Everyone’s favourite vintage-inspired lingerie label, Kiss Me Deadly, are back with two gorgeous new collections and one revamped old favourite just in time for Christmas. If you love their stylish yet comfortable lingerie, you’ll no doubt already own at least one of the Alouette’s previous incarnations and this Christmas it’s back in a delicate peach satin four-piece set, in addition to the new Jezebel range of high-waisted sheer retro knickers and the L’Amour steel-boned shapewear set with which, of course, you can’t help but to fall madly in love.

The Alouette set is carefully designed to emphasise all your curves in just the right way, from the padded push up cups of the bra right down to the control mesh panels in the suspender belt which smooths away lumps and bumps, and features six thick straps to secure your stockings. Add to that the power mesh cincher to nip in your waist, and the cute matching knickers, and you can see why this set is so popular.

Control mesh, waist-reinforcement tape and comfortable, light steel boning combined with luxury black lace and velvet trims mean the L’Amour basque is probably the prettiest shapewear around this Christmas. Also available as a cincher with a double layer of mesh and a pretty lace overlay, of course with six detachable suspender straps to keep your nylons in place.

High-waisted knickers are a staple of any pin-up’s wardrobe and the Jezebel long-line panty girdle combines 1950s glamour with perfect contours. Performing her acclaimed ‘Birth of Venus’ show in her bespoke Lulu and Lush outfit, Chrys is a long-time FairyGothMother model and international burlesque starlet. Black Heart attracts London’s fashionista crowd and celebrities such as Dita von Teese, Kate Moss and Kelly Osbourne. Come drink and dance to electro and rockabilly with the rich and famous at the beautiful Mo*Vida on Argyll Street, which is about 10 seconds away from Oxford Circus (so don’t worry about getting home - there are plenty of black cabs, night buses and even hotels in the area). We now stock two of Miss Mandalay’s gorgeous semi-sheer lingerie sets from 30 to 36 DD to FF, with a choice of matching briefs or thong. These have been selling fast in our boutique so we don’t have all the sizes left, so get them while you can!

Combining heavy-duty scaffolding with delicate, alluring design is quite a daunting task, but fortunately Miss Mandalay have come to the rescue, so larger-busted women can now feel both secure and sexy.

But as every woman with big boobs knows, it’s virtually impossible to find a stylish, glamorous bra in your size. I know, I know - Hallowe’en has only just happened and everything’s still covered in fake blood, but Christmas decorations have already gone up in shops around the country, the streets are illuminated with dazzling Santas and you can’t find anything useful in Tesco as all the food seems to have been replaced with mince pies and Christmas crackers. So I apologise in advance for encouraging this trend of starting Christmas whilst it’s still warm outside - but as you know, although our Spitalfields boutique is brimming with beautiful corsets and lingerie, much as we’d like to, we can’t keep everything in stock. It’s always really difficult to pick the perfect ballgown, so whether you’re after something classic or want to go full-on Snow Queen, we’ve put together a few ideas to get you started. We’re really liking buskless corsets and colours reflecting the icy weather we’re expecting, so here are our favourite new ballgowns, perfect for winter. The white lace appliqué with twinkling clear and black Swarovski crystals over black satin make the Bettie corset by Eternal Spirits irresistable, especially when teamed with Voller’s Corsets’ full trained ivory skirt in pure silk. Buskless corsets have their advantages and disadvantages - on one hand, it’s easier to make matching buskless corsets and skirts look like they’re a one-piece dress and it’s easier to match them with different coloured jewellery if the silver busk isn’t visible, but on the other hand you either have to have really long laces at the back so you can slip it over your head or re-lace yourself entirely every time you wear it.
