What we've been up to, and our massive clearance sale!

We are back from the Goodwood Revival Festival (more about that soon!) and have been busy decorating and settling in to our brand new studio and office, which we’re still really excited about so you’ll probably be sick of hearing about it soon! We’re staying at our Old Spitalfields Market boutique so you don’t need to update your address books, but this does mean that suddenly we have lots more space.

We’re quite liking suddenly being able to see the floor in our stock room, and so we’re re-launching our superduper clearance sale offering massive discounts (as in, less than half price on lots of items!) on hundreds of dresses, skirts, corsets, lingerie sets and accessories… We can’t resist buying pretty things though, so are planning to promptly re-fill the space with new collections for winter! We’ll have all our new goodies up on the website and in our shop soon - our current obsessions are sequins and the Fifties, so our designers are hard at work creating corsets and lingerie covered in sparkly goodness and dresses with foofy petticoats which wouldn’t look out of place on the set of Grease.

Our stock room is a treasure trove of corsetry, lingerie and fabulous ballgowns, some of which date all the way back from our more gothic Camden Market days (gosh, remember them?!) as well as a whole host of amazing one-offs. So do take a peek, and grab yourself a bargain!

There are so many items in our sale that we’ve split them into different price ranges, so they’re easier to find:

This scarlet party dress, ideal for the festive season, is now only £45, reduced by £100! The full a-line skirt is flattering on all shapes, and the diamante trim and the chiffon halter ties draw emphasise the bust without being too revealing.

Our dramatic, shimmering, dark red and black shot taffeta corset comfortably reduces the waist by up to 4″. Steel boned with a modesty panel and back lacing, the corset is trimmed in cream lace with matching burgundy velvet ribbon running through it. Formerly £155, it is now only £60!

Ballgowns don’t have to cost a fortune - reduced from £295 to £145, is this elegant satin gown with a beaded, structured bodice and triple bustled flared skirt. Pictured here in navy, the gown is avialable in several different colours and sizes.

How stunning is this coat! Another fantastic creation by Catwalk Collection, this special occasion jacket is made from a beautiful stretch fabric with faux fur collar and cuffs, and is available in blue. Formerly £420, it’s reduced by a massive £200!

If you’re interested in any of our items but aren’t sure if they’ll fit, please drop us an email and we’ll do our best to provide you with measurements or answer any questions you may have about the fabric or style. All our clearance items will be sent out within 14 days, and of course will be carefully packaged and require a signature on delivery, to ensure none of your purchases go astray. Don’t forget, we now offer free shipping to the UK, and worldwide shipping is only £9.95, no matter where you live or how many items you order.

We’ve only had time to put up a small amount of our vast collection, and will be expanding the sale over the coming weeks. Don’t worry - we’ll keep you updated when we’ve added new items, dear blog readers, Facebook and Twitter friends, so you’ll be the first to know!

Steal their Style!

If you’ve ever seen the pictures of the Hollywood glitterati posing on the red carpet and wished that you too could own that beautiful gown but have felt somewhat thwarted by there only being one in existance and it costing more than you earn in a month, do not be disheartened! Some of the best-dressed celebrities to grace the red carpets this month have been spotted in outfits not too dissimilar to some of our designs, and because our steel-boned corsets cinch waists by around four inches as well as flattening the stomach and giving the bust a cheeky hoist, there’s no need to worry about any extra Christmas pounds that well-intentioned-but-underused gym membership may have failed to shift!

Medieval Gown Emilia Fox at the BAFTAs Trained Gown

Emilia Fox looked resplendent in her trained black gown at the Baftas. If it’s the long sleeves that have caught your eye, try our chiffon Medieval gown with its delicate beaded bodice, available in black or even in white (similar to the dress worn by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley at the Elle Style Awards), or how about the trained strapless gown with crystal buttoning, over a chiffon blouse or a mesh shrug?

Freida Pinto at the BAFTAs Fishtail Dress

Slumdog Millionaire’s Freida Pinto looked glamorous in her floor-length mermaid-esque pink fishtail dress. Recreate her look with our fitted fishtail gown, available in green or pink and currently reduced to £165 from £345.

Silver dress at the Elle Style awards Corset Dress

For the ultimate in glamour our corset dress is sure to get you noticed! Available in a wide variety of coloured satins, it is laced all the way down the back and at the front of the skirt, cinching and boosting in all the right places.

Kate Winslet at the BAFTAs Halterneck Corset
Fishtail Skirt Fit and Flare Skirt with Net Trim

And finally, Kate Winslet looked sensational at the BAFTAs with her tight-fitting floor-length fishtail outfit, entirely in black. Her look is easily achieved with our halter-neck corset teamed with either a long black fishtail skirt or a fit and flare skirt with net trim.

So there you have it, four red-carpet outfits, and four creative ways to steal their style!

New additions to our collection, this week...

We have had lots of new, exciting items arrive this week!

Firstly, the exquisite Medieval-style chiffon gown with its delicate beaded bodice is the newest addition to our bridal couture collection, and is also available in black with jet black beading.

Our unique overbust corsets with attached suspender clips are both glamorous and versatile - the clips can be used to hold up your matching stockings as modelled by the stunning Morgana, or to hitch up your ballgown skirt.

For an alternative to skirts, why not wear your favourite corset with our new wide-leg chiffon trousers. Flattering on all shapes, these can be teamed with a tailored jacket and stilettos for a seductive take on corporate chic.

Prom season is nearly upon us and how better to wow your friends and that special boy than in this electric blue shot taffeta corset and matching long skirt with train. For a sophisticated and elegant look, accessorise with our black satin opera gloves and dazzling jet black crystal necklace.

If you have been after a longline underbust, this week’s special offer is the Vollers’ V1870UB, available in satin, PVC, velvet, brocades and leaf print. This offer expires tomorrow at midnight, so get in there quickly and check back on Monday for next week’s bargain!

Don’t forget, we still have a massive end-of-line sale, to which we are adding new items every few days. If you would like to try any of the items on before buying, give us a call or drop us an email and we will put the item aside for you at our Spitalfields shop.
