When Olivia first started her dress hunt, she never imagined it would involve train strikes, floods, and a last-minute change of destination. Originally planning to shop in Brighton, two failed attempts to get there from Sheffield sent her heading to London instead and straight to us at FairyGothMother.

“I managed to get as far as London, and decided that I'd love to look at FairyGothMother, as you had so many tea length dresses for me to try on!”

At her appointment, Olivia was helped by our fantastic Emma, who made the whole experience unforgettable.

Though she’d arrived searching for tea-length styles, it was a full-length gown called Willow that stole her heart.

“I fell in love with a gown which was full length, but Emma reassured me it would be simple to have it shortened."

The finished look was completely her.

“The result was a dress that I adore, and felt so beautiful in! I loved how it ended up looking with my bridesmaids in block shades of green, and it really captured the romance and spirit of the winery!”

Olivia and Bálint tied the knot at Koczor Pincet, a dreamy winery venue in Hungary – where Bálint is from. The day began warm and breezy, then transformed into a full-on rainstorm, adding unexpected drama and magic to the celebration.

“We did all of our hair and make up ourselves, and had a brilliant day surrounded by our friends and family. It was the easy, relaxed, family-oriented day we'd imagined.”
